2) Hyper Metroid

Original ROM: Super Metroid
Console: Super Nintendo

Arguably, Super Metroid is the greatest game ever created. Which makes it totally rad to dust off and to take another crack at it. Except this time with Hyper Metroid, you will be greeted with newly redesigned areas and challenges. This game is a bit on the difficult side, but it's not impossible to conquer.

3) The Legend Of Zelda: Outlands

Original ROM: The Legend Of Zelda
Console: Nintendo Entertainment System

We all love the original Zelda game for the old-school 8-bit NES system. It's perfect the graphics, the music, the challenge... it's amazing. You picked up your sword because it's dangerous out there and off you went. Well, forget all you know about your previous experience. This game is hell, very challenging, and you're going to have to put in some serious work. All that aside, this game is still super fun and when you conquer this game consider yourself a professional gamer.

4) BS The Legend Of Zelda

Original ROM: The Legend Of Zelda
Console: Super Nintendo via Satellaview

This game technically is not officially a ROM Hack, but it's close enough. Zelda BS was originally released by Nintendo for the SNES Satellaview add-on. I've never played on a Satellaview, but I'm sure it was pretty rad in the 1990s. Zelda BS is based on a redesigned version of the original Zelda for the NES. The graphics are better and the levels have new locations and experiences.
